In other words, it's the kind of thing that—had I been thrifting with Meg—I would have pulled out as a possibility and then, noting her skeptical gaze, would have slipped back into the racks silently. However, I wasn't thrifting with my better half when I came across this diamond in the rough a while back, and when I pulled the waist in tight enough in the back, it actually felt pretty cute. It's light and swingy. Plus, it has pockets. I went for it.
When I first wore it to hang out with Meg, she mostly approved; she said it would look crazy on anyone else. I think that meant that she felt like it looked cute on me, but I can't be sure. In any case, I guess she'll learn to be more direct with me in the future if she meant that it looked terrible, because here it is on our blog.
|Some polaroids of me wearing this dress a few years ago at a holiday/Meg's birthday gathering. Shout out to my lover C.Fields and to Ali, seen here laboring over some delicious treats for us.|
